The Terrace Riverboat Days Society is an organization dedicated to keeping the history of the Riverboat Era alive and well in Terrace, BC. The annual Terrace Riverboat Days Festival is now in its 31st year. In 2004, the Festival's program was extended to highlight the diverse arts and culture talent found in the Terrace area.

Society History:
The Terrace Riverboat Days Society was founded in 1992. The Society in 2004 is headed, as president, Brian Downie. Over the years, the Riverboat Festival, usually held on the first weekend in August, has grown in size. The main attractions each year are usually the Riverboat Days Parade and the Concerts in the Park. There are also many other events over the week of the Festival which attract people from all over the area. This year, we have added an additional show piece for the community, a Riverboat Exhibit.

Riverboat Exhibit:
In 2004 a proposal was made for funding to an HRSDC committee to house a Riverboat Exhibit here in Terrace, BC. The exhibit had originally been put together by the K'san Museum in Hazelton, BC. The staff at the Terrace Exhibit, are currently localizing the history to do with the Riverboat Era on the Skeena River. For more information on the exhibit and some history involving the boats, please see the Virtual Tour section on this site. If you'd like to come in and visit the exhibit in person, please see the Contact Us section for hours of operation, address, and other information you may need.
